Conformance to specifications is the ability to meet advertised performance standards. Crate & Barrel does meet advertised performance standards, because they let their customers know that they are a 2nd quality store which means furniture can have slight imperfections.

Value is the accuracy to its purpose compared to monetary worth. The value of their products are a bit pricey to some select retailers such as target and walmart, but their prices are way less than Ashley’s furniture and Bob’s Furniture. This says that their furniture has a good value, but there is always better furniture out there for a higher price. This meets the demands of people not looking to spend thousands of dollars on furniture. 

Fitness for use is the style, convenience, and durability. As mentioned before some of the furniture at the store is damaged when they are put together so Crate & Barrel marks down the price. The damages are not that severe, but the furniture is still in good condition to use. 

Support  is the level of service after a product is sold. Unfortunately Crate & Barrel does not have a return policy; the most you can get for a product after purchase is store credit. 

Psychological Impressions- the image, atmosphere, and aesthetics. Crate & Barrel does have dim lights when you enter followed by relaxing music to keep the customer relaxed and calm when looking at furniture. 

Prevention costs, Crate & Barrel does not focus on preventing defects. When the item is put together and they notice a defect the item will be put on the sales floor, but with a tag letting the customer know the price has dropped due to defects. Internal failure costs, they often do find defects when putting the products together and Crate & Barrel’s main concern is letting the customer know about the defects and their return policy before someone makes the purchase. Although they are a 2nd quality store this gives them many opportunities in the market nowadays. At other places furniture tends to be very expensive and Crate & Barrel offer products with slight imperfections at very good prices that can draw customers attention when looking for new furniture.
